Silence.
As Max gets out, a magenta alert sounds. 99 tells him a nuclear power plant
in the Mid-West has gone wild.
They rush to the lab, leaving the Chief screaming and pounding on the glass.
Max (stopping suddenly): I'm forgetting
something.
99: What?
Max: I don't know, I guess it's not important . . .
This is one of the few times the
Cone actually works.

bridge.
Max: Well, I think we should to go across together.
99: Why?
Max: Well, if we fall, we'll have someone to talk to on the

husband.
Max: And it says here that Braun thought nothing but
his work 24 hours a day.
99 (nodding in understanding): No wonder we don't have
any children . . .

They look around, thinking the same thing. They eyeball each other, then shake their
heads.
